Yvonka's Story
Life
I am currently the Director of the Cleveland Office of Minority Health. I that role I created programs that focus on improving, educating and empowering at risk communities on health disparities and health equity. I am responsible for conducting and implementing that largest Local Conversation on Health Disparities in the country. rector of Cutural Health Initiatives for the American Heart Association. I oversaw Power To End Stroke, which is a program that focuses on stroke awareness and prevention in the African American community. I was also responsible for a community-based program called "Search Your Heart" a health disease and stroke prevention program. I am also the proud parent of a wonderful 11 year old son Samario. He is a honor roll student at Whitney Young High School.
