Yvonne's Story
I have been teacheing elementary school for 31 years. I taught in Brownsville (Skinner Elementary) for 7 years. I taught 5th grade. John, my husband, was working for Customs. My son, Brandon, and my daughter, Brooke, were both born in the Valley (San Benito).
John then went into banking, working in Victoria, Nordheim, and finally with Prosperity Bank in Goliad. I have been teaching in Goliad for 24 years, 13 of those teaching 2nd grade, and the remainder teaching art. I got my Masters degree in educational administration in 1997.

arried and lives in San Antoinio. She graduated from UT and is working at USAA. Brandon graduated from welding school and is working for various companies as a welder. He is engaged (to a teacher from Beeville), and will get married in June of 2010.
I have two Great Danes (Max and Maggie). They are rescue dogs. I have four cats Leo, Socks, and brothers Scooter and Snip.
I am a member of the Red Hat Society, Astron Club, Association of Texas Professional Educators (presently president of Region 3, and still go to the Lutheran Church in Weesatche.
