Zeljko's Story
Life
I'm an animator! I draw cartoons on TV for a living! How cool is that? It's all I have ever wanted to do, and I am doing it. It's not work, it's what I love to do, and itÂs my passion. Every year my career gets better, and I do things I never thought I would do. This year I have a screenwriting credit, I directed a pilot episode of a new cartoon, my animated shorts called THE Z-FILES played at film festivals and on TV, and I started my own company called Flying Iguanna Productions; all that, plus my regular credits on several cartoons as animator and designer. I have seen many great places in my work and in life, Detroit, Chicago, Montreal, Atlanta, Burbank CA, DC, Ottawa, L.A., and other great cities in North America. I think I would like to work in Europe in the next few years; the animation industry in Europe is great, with lots of very talented artists. nd Nickelodeon. It is just a matter of time before I come up with the right project at the right time.
I had an epiphany a few years ago. I was walking to the studio one morning through the park. It was the end of summer, it was a beautiful morning. And then it hit me, the epiphany. I have a GREAT life! I draw cartoons, I have an amazing career and I love it. When I was in high school, if I would have known then what my life would be like now, I would have been the happiest kid in the world. I would not have been worried or stressed about the future. Are you kidding?! I'll be drawing cartoons and laughing all day?! The future sounds great! And it is. If only I could go back in time and show myself how life would turn out, but my flying De Lorean has a broken flux capacitor. So that was my epiphany, ever since then I have had a permanent smile on my face.

Animation! This is the life. Drawing cartoons all day, laughing and joking, telling stories and working with the greatest group of people I know. I love it!
