Elan's Story
Life :
After many moves, my little family and I now live in Bend, Oregon... closer to Family in Portland, than California was, and able to build a new home! Life with Dano is still entertaining, as we make Video Games and WebShorts. Life with our little boy is wonderful! I continue designing and creating heylani jewelry and sunshine+pear, as time allows! (since I homeschool a 5th grader, time is a premium! :))
School :
Frosh and Soph at Hidden Valley H.S., moved my Jr. Year to Aloha High in Aloha (Port...Expand for more
land-area), OR, where I graduated in 1991. This move turned out to be a very good one, as it got me into a "bigger" city and gave me more experiences and culture to wander around in!
College :
Bachelor's from Eastern Oregon U. , then Graduate Jeweler Gemologist from GIA (The Gemological Institute of America) in Carlsbad, CA.
Bachelor's via Distance Education while living in Portland, so when I started studies as a Gemologist thru Distance Ed. while living in Chicago I was already prepped for the task!
