On May 16, 2009, White Bison began a 40-day, 6,800 mile cross-country journey to past and former Indian School sites. The goal is to promote awareness, dialogue and forgiveness among Native peoples for the historical trauma of the Indian Boarding school era which began in 1879. Locally, they will be in Sherman this date after beginning at CHemawa and visiting PI where I will be, then moving eastward. For more info, please visit Wellbriety site
