January , 2023 Hello Fellow El Camino Classmates, Our 50-year reunion is now just seven months away. It’s hard to imagine how fast 50 years have gone by, but here we are. Once upon a time we shared an important part of our youths together and because of that we will always have a special bond. Some of us were boyfriends and girlfriends, academic partners, teammates, club members; some of us even married classmates. The friendships and shared experiences were so special that even if we haven’t been in touch for years, decades or even half a century, attending the reunion will surely bring back happy memories and give us all a chance to reconnect with each other. We have all gone out in the world and somehow made our way. We have gotten married, many of us have had children and grandchildren. We have felt the sorrow of loved ones dying and the elation of building our own families. Some of us literally haven't seen each other for 50 years, yet that special time at El Camino will hopefully bring us back together again on August 11th and 12th. On Friday night, August 11th, we will get together at a local restaurant or bar-TBD, to say hello and then on Saturday August 12th we will all get together at Del Paso Country Club for our actual 50-year reunion and enjoy dinner, drinks and each other’s company. Jan Garrison and her husband have graciously volunteered to make our name badges using our senior yearbook pictures.
