Hello, everyone! If you don’t remember me, that’s completely understandable. I wasn’t in any sport, clubs, or part of any extracurricular activities. I was in band and took guitar class, but never went to a single concert. I couldn’t even hold 2.0 GPA and had straight F’s for most of my school career. I didn’t try to join ASB, run for class president, go to junior or senior prom or went to a football game.. okay, I went to one football game my freshman year. Would you say I’m qualified? Goodness, no. I wish I didn’t take my high school years seriously. I wish I could know what it was like to be in a sport. I probably would have different friends. I wish I knew what it felt like to pick out my dress for prom and take pictures with all my friends. The accomplishment I would have felt had I gone to my class concert. I want to capture those moments again. I may not have had the grades then or wasn’t involved in enough activities, but I have the spirit and motivation to recreate the good times to let you relive it for the first time in 10 years. Just like me, I’d like to use this as a second chance to give those who were shy, bullied, had strict parents or had anything that stopped them from doing what they wanted to do and let those people reintroduce themselves. Give them a second chance to make their mark, reconnect and even make new friends along the way. We will have an art gallery open. I am personally taking art submissions to be showcased in the September 20th Downtown Art Crawl to have the public celebrate with us the day before our reunion on September 21st.
