Dear Issaquah High School ’66 Classmate It is approaching 5 years since we all gathered at the Holiday Inn and shared our life experiences and renewed friendships. It was 50 years since our graduation, and I think we all found the experience wonderful. Given the state of the world with Covid19, it is unlikely that we will be able to meet in person for our 55th anniversary of our graduation. BUT, a “virtual reunion” is certainly possible, and a small group of die-hard reunion committee members has hatched a plan. We have planned a Zoom meeting and will invite more than 100 classmates to join us on the afternoon of March 13th. In addition to some general information on the state of IHS and education in Issaquah, we will have lots of opportunities to meet and greet in break-out rooms and in the larger group format. We all admit that Zoom is a lousy alternative to Face-to-Face meetings, and also agree that it is a lot better than not meeting at all. Time marches on, and renewing friendships is becoming increasingly import in this time of Covid. We plan for the meeting to start at 4pm (Pacific Standard Time) and run for about 90 minutes--the perfect time to crack open an adult beverage, grab some snacks, and talk to aging (NOT OLD!) classmates. Soon you can expect an email invitation to participate. We would appreciate an RSVP, ONLY using the function in the Zoom invite. There is no need to RSVP to any other web site.
