Hi Classmates. We finally decided on a venue and date. Our 55th class reunion will take place at the Monterey Moose Lodge, 555 Canyon Del Rey, Monterey, on Saturday, Oct. 15. Since.we need to leave by 10pm, the reception will probably start at 5pm, with a buffet dinner from 6-7:30pm. We’re hoping to have some dance music, possible silent auction and Ralph’s 50/50 raffle, in addition to announcements and general mingling before our wind-down starting at 9:30pm. The lodge has a full bar, as well as a kitchen that will be available to the caterers that we choose. Once all arrangements are finalized, I’ll send out another message to include a registration form and request for payment. Payment will be due by Sept. 1st. It was suggested that we might ask for a short synopsis of what you’ve been up to, your interests, family, etc., that we could share with others, as well as perhaps a current photo (so that others will better recognize you in the room). This, of course, is totally optional. Again, we welcome all suggestions. Please pass this information on to those we may still not have email addresses for; and encourage them to contact me so that I can add them to my group contact list. And on a sad note, please send me the names of those dear classmates that have passed away so that we may honor them. i look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at our celebration. As of today, there are no covid restrictions; but I will include updated information when and if the situation changes as we get closer to our event. In the meantime, take care and stay well!
