Hello again, SBHS Class of '71 Classmates. After two years of planning and pivoting to respond to the challenges COVID threw our way, your Reunion Committee has decided to back out of our negotiations with DoubleTree for our October 22, 2022, delayed 50th celebration. The hotel requires a minimum of 80 attendees, and we frankly don't see the enthusiasm within our alumni to be able to meet that minimum. Our alternate plan, though, is to arrange a smaller informal dinner get-together for all who want to gather and remember the places and people from our good old days. This too will cost some money, probably approaching the $100 per person we anticipated for our DoubleTree dinner. The target date is still Saturday, October 22, or maybe the day before or after. We need a solid indication of interest from all of you in order to choose the right place. For that reason, BEFORE WEDNESDAY, JULY 13, please respond via return email to David Luck on Classmates to indicate your intention to join us for dinner and if you'll be bringing a guest. The committee members are eager to meet in person and to see as many of our classmates as can be there. If you know of other Class of '71 alumni who don't check Facebook often, please pass this message along to them. We still need help connecting with many in our class.
