Greetings once again, classmates and friends, Planning for the 50-year reunion of the Tempe High School Class of 1971 continues to move forward! All of the information from the last bulletin is still correct, but now we’re going to start providing more of the details you’ve wanted. First, ticket sales for the big celebration October 23, 2021, at the Doubletree by Hilton, (formerly Fiesta Inn), 2100 S. Priest Dr, Tempe, Arizona 85282, have opened! Our treasurer, Debbie Nelson, has established a new email account to be dedicated to the ticketing function: Debbie has arranged for various forms of payment, including checks, PayPal and Zelle. Tickets to the 6:00pm to 10:00pm event, which will include dinner, non-alcoholic beverages, live music, and entertainment, are $75 per person. There will be a silent auction at the Saturday evening event. More information about the auction will be forthcoming, including how to provide items, how bidding will take place, and so on. Proceeds will be used to offset the cost of the reunion and for a donation to the Buffalo Foundation.
