David Lawrence Schwimmer (born November 2, 1966) is an American actor, director, and producer. He graduated with the class of 1984 from Beverly Hills High School in Beverly Hills, California. In high school, he was involved in theatre. He portrayed Mr. Frank in Anne Frank and also appeared in Anything Goes as well as his senior class play, Trading Classes.

In 1989, Schwimmer burst onto the scene with his first television show, A Deadly Silence. Soon after, he starred in his first film, Flight of the Intruder. This was followed by others, such as Crossing the Bridge, The Pallbearer, Madagascar, and John Carter. Schwimmer is best known for his role as Ross Geller in the hit television sitcom, Friends.
