Debra's Story
I moved to the Boston area in 1975, shortly after I graduated from the University of Rochester. I became a COBOL computer programmer in the late 70's, and worked in the field of Information Technology until early 2010.
In 1987, I was relocated from Waltham, MA to Westbrook, ME by a former employer. In 1988, I met my husband in a square dancing club for singles, and we married in 1994. I worked for Tyler Technologies from 1996 until 2010, (they write, market and support software for municipalities and nonprofits). er diem at the New England Rehabilitation Hospital in Portland, ME. I left there in January 2013 to accept a full-time job as an Administrative Assistant at the University of New England's Portland, ME campus. I left there a year later and worked briefly for NHIC Corp processing Durable Medical Equipment claims for Medicare. I've been employed since APR 2015 as a Manpower temp, doing claims processing for 2 local "reinsurance" companies. Both companies service a variety of Disability Insurance providers and do their administrative and claims processing tasks. I love hiking and camping in ME and NH during the warmer months, and enjoy snow shoeing and skiing when the snow flies.
