Gail's Story
Hi friends,
Life has been great. I am married and have three sons: 22, 16 & 14. I have lived in Evergreen Park for 22 years and am currently in my second term as an elected school board member for District 231. In fact, Jim Gallagher, who was the accounting teacher at Hillcrest, was our superintendent. Just graduated with a M.A. in Political Studies from Governors State. I have finally decided what I wanted to do when I grew up and that is trying to land a government relations job as an education lobbyist. ...Expand for more
Personally, and don't get me going on this, but education funding and NCLB need to change (now I am off my soapbox).
Something else fun I have to share, in the 9/4/08 Southtown Star is an article on the HF-Hillcrest (73-75) football team featuring some of the key players from that time. Can you believe Coach Binette is 78 years old!! In any case, the reason for the story, HF and Hillcrest have not faced each other since the playoff time when Hillcrest lost by 1 point.
