Thomas's Story
Well after graduating in January of 68. I went to MCCC for a semester or two. Decided that I had had enough of schooling. I went into the Air Force in October of 70. I became an Air Traffic Controller. Spent 3 years in California. Was married in 1971 to my first wife we had 2 great kids which has grown to 4 grandkids. I left the service in 1974 and we headed back to Michigan. I was hired by the FAA in 1975. We moved to Grand Rapids MI and lived there till 1978 when we finally made it back home. I worked at Detroit Metro till 1981. It all came crashing down when Reagan and the Air Traffic Controllers didn't see eye to eye. I decided to go back to school and ...Expand for more
pick up where I had left off in 1970. I took several drafting classes and I got a job with a Engineering firm in 1982. Life was very tough for us I was working 3 jobs just to make ends meet at the time. I was divorced in 1984 and stayed single till 1997 when I married my second wife. We now live in Clarkston Michigan. We have 2 dogs 3 cats and I don't know how many fish in our outdoor pond. We both love working outside and we have had a great life together.I have been working for GM directly and indirectly now for over 25 years now. I took up guitar several years ago and I play in 2 bands. I'm still pretty much the same guy you all knew back in High School.
