Thomas P Hurley:  

Thomas is from Carmel, California. Thomas's schools include Gunn High School. Thomas then went onto attending Humboldt State University as a Forestry Major. In his second year he switched to Business Administration and spent a half a year living and working in Hawaii prior to transferring to California Polytechnic University of Pomona to focus on Hotel & Restaurant Management. After spending the better part of 10 years working for the Hyatt Hotel Corporation in San Francisco and culminating that effort with being the Hotel Manager on duty during the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake disaster. His cool handling of that extremely difficult situation earned him his final appointment to open The Hyatt on Fisherman's Wharf. A career change as a result of a epiphany he had (read on for that explanation) landed him later attending College of San Mateo to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering. This prepared him for becoming one of the most skilled Technicians working in the Spa Industry for the Sundance Spa Corporation. Thomas earned a notable name in his technical ability, which was followed by becoming one of the few Technicians to become a Authorized Dealer for Sundance. Setting a record number of 11 closed sales in one day with no cancellations showed his ability to sell the Sundance line of Home Improvement products just as remarkably as he diagnosed them as a Technician. Thomas had just gotten married about this time to Lynne Meredith and then went on to have three kids that are his greatest achievement according to his words. "The best thing that I have done and will be a lasting mark on this world is that God was kind enough to bless me with three children. All are far smarter than I and have so many skills, to list them all would be too timely. To say it in a sentence all three of my kids have already achieved what most don't in a lifetime. Therefore my greatest accomplishment will have been them as a representation of my life and how you can break the chain of disfunction as I did in my own family by becoming the first to get clean and sober and have a family brought up without violence, abuse, trauma, and those things that will not be forgotten easily even with years of therapy and healing. Selling his three store chain of profitable stores in order to relocate his growing family he transitioned from selling home improvement products to selling homes as a top producing Realtor for Re/Max of California & Hawaii. Thomas again rose to the top quickly becoming the number one Realtor in his home town and being inducted into the Re/Max International Hall Of Fame in less than three years.
