OK, so let's get this started. The weekend of November 12-14. Jim Speros 602-920-2557 Updated 8/30/21 We've settled on the Embassy Suites by Hilton on Scottsdale Rd and Chaparral. They offered us a discounted room rate ($199 for the 2 room suite) and waived the resort fees. Laurie (Fielding) Van Buskirk is looking into setting up a tour of Arcadia (the newly rebuilt Arcadia) and hoping to find some members of the faculty to visit with. As usual, we will need to start collecting the activity fee (Dinner, music,etc) and reservations for confirmation with the hotel ASAP. The activity fee will be $100 per person, which will cover the dinner/dance evening at the resort. Checks can be made payable to Arcadia Class of 71 Reunion. Mail to 1210 E. Northern Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85020. We will set up a local account and see if there are any other means of payment we can accept. Hopefully our generation still has a checkbook:). So far we have 48 confirmed attendees with guests. We are nearing the minimum to secure the hotel amenities (minimum 60 total). Please reach out to any alumni you know and help get the word out. I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure this will be the only 50 yr reunion I'll be attending. The bank account has been established at Chase so those of you that have paid should be able to confirm the deposit. In order to secure the event at the Embassy Suites I have personally guaranteed the dinner cost so please start the process by checking in and confirming your attendance. I've been asked about the dress for the dinner/dance. For me it will be casual but wear what you like. The weather should be cool by then. We will start contacting everyone asap.
