East Meadow High School: Class of 1993 Reunion (30th)
Details
Let’s target Homecoming Game Day October 7 vs Hempstead to root for The Jets. We could have lunch before the game at Venere’s 841 Carmen Avenue at 1:00pm. Anyone interested can text Jack Walters, at 516-343-8995 Congratulations to Vinny Mascia & the EM Jets on a season opening shutout victory, 41-0. no Wonderful start for No. 31 Pre-season Max Prep ranked East Meadow, of 53 teams in Nassau County, against 47 ranked Planview. Perhaps a more dominant win than would have been expected, three cheers for the Jets. In order of the schedule, the Jets will face 30 ranked Port Washington, 8 Massapequa, 42 Valley Stream Central, 23 Hempstead, 11 Baldwin, 43 Westbury, and 49 Hicksville. The season record by this week’s Max Prep Nassau County rankings would project 4 wins, 3 losses, and 1 toss up. Recent history has shown 8 Massapequa and 11 Baldwin to be more than heavy favorites over the Jets. Keeping the scores close in those two games would be a moral victory. If East Meadow plays with intensity anywhere near close to their 41-0 win today vs Planview, games against VSC, Westbury, and Hicksville should yield a W. Should the Jets beat similarly ranked Port Washington this Thursday, the team could enter the Homecoming game against Hempstead on October 7 with a 3-1 record, with momentum that could fuel an upset over nemesis Hempstead, not only thrilling a Homecoming crowd, but possibly leading to a very successful 6-2 season. Somewhat a reach, but we can dream big when the Jets are undefeated this season at 1-0 All the best and GO JETS.
