Robert John Downey Jr. (born April 4, 1965) is an American actor. He attended Santa Monica High School before dropping out of high school his Junior year to pursue acting professionally. His first role came at the age of five with his father in the movie Pound. Since, Downey has acted in films Weird Science, Johnny Be Good, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Zodiac, Tropic Thunder, Sherlock Holmes (and it’s sequel), and most notably for his role as Tony Stark in Iron Man and The Avengers. He is also well-known for his role on the hit show Ally McBeal.
