Diana Ernestine Earle Ross (born March 26, 1944) is an American singer and actress. She graduated in Home Economics with the January class of 1962 from Cass Technical High Schoolin Detriot, Michigan. In high school, she was on the swim team, Y-Teens, and a hall guard. She was voted ‘Best Dressed’ by her senior class.
She is best known for her hit songs “Stop! In the Name of Love”, “Where Did Our Love Go”, “Baby Love”, “Can’t Hurry Love”, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”, “Touch Me in the Morning”, “Upside Down”, and “Endless Love”. Ross also starred in films Lady Sings the Blues, Mahogany, The Wiz, Out of Darkness, and Double Platinum.
