Paul Stephen Rudd (born April 6, 1969) is a 1987 graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School, in Shawnee Mission, KS, where he played soccer and was a member of the prom committee.

After majoring in theater in college, Rudd launched his acting career by landing a role in the series Sisters in 1992. Three years later, he made it to the big screen with a co-starring role in Clueless. Other early acting credits include the films The Cider House Rules (1999), 200 Cigarettes (1999), and Wet Hot American Summer (2001). He also portrayed one of Phoebe’s boyfriends (and eventual husband) on Friends.

Rudd is especially known for choosing comedic scripts, including Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (and its 2013 sequel), The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), I Love You Man (2009), and This is 40 (2012). He has also acted in the series Parks and Recreation and Reno 911!

In 2015, Rudd’s career took another leap forward when he starred in Ant-Man, a role he has reprised in several other Marvel movies. That same year, he was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
