Thomas's Story
I moved away from New Brunswick in the beginning of my freshman year in late '63. As I recall I had just made the cut for the football team, but never got to play beyond practice. My folks got re-married (long story) that year - dad was in the Air Force - so we moved to McGuire AFB where I finished 9th grade. He got orders to Korea that summer and my mom and I moved to San Antonio, Texas were I spent 10th grade (another long story). After 13 months dad ...Expand for more
got orders for 4 years to Grand Forks, North Dakota, where we spent one hellacious cold winter. That was enough for him, so he retired, and we moved to Seattle to be near his brother and aerospace jobs. So I actually graduated in '67 from Federal Way H.S. near Seattle. But I still have fond memories of the early '60s in New Brunswick. Peace & Love to the class of '67!
