Robert's Story
My book "MONUMENT FROM THE KAISER" will be on sale 12/12/12 at Author House. contact me for a signed copy! Worked a couple nothing jobs after HS graduation. Joined Detroit Police in 1972, worked there until 1982. During that time I acquired bachelor degree from Wayne State Univ. In 1982 I joined New Hampshire State Police. I retired before I was 50 and moved to South Central Virginia (on NC border) where I was Police Chief for a number of years.
During this time I represented "A Child Is Missing" out of Ft Lauderdale Fl and became one of their nationwide Law Enforcement Trainers (photo above,I am on the right). I was the keynote speaker at 911 Conventions in Maine, Virginia, and Oregon. It is a non profit organization that acts as an advocate for missing children. Also during this time I acquired my Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Southern Trinity Univ.
I moved to Tennessee in April 2007, taking a ...Expand for more
position as a Manufacturers Representative for a steel company. I also have been working part time for a local PD as a consultant for the past year.
Also, I have been married & divorced 3 times and have 2 sons 20 & 22 living in New Hampshire (whom I refer to as the "Children of the Corn"). I now reside in Coopertown TN, just northwest of Nashville. 20 minutes NW of "Music City".
But the question has remained the same through all of the years " Will the real Bob Hahnke please stand up?" I get up that way every 4 or 5 weeks to visit my brother in Dearborn Hts. Was Tom Maxwell (class of 68)really a young George Costanza???
Recently my project has been to write a book about my family in the 1800's and their role as high ranking military officers prior to WW!. My profile picture is of me standing next to memorial from Kaiser II to my family in Odda, Norway. I went there in July of this year to research part of my upcoming book.
