Esteemed CDM Alumni Several of us have embarked on building an endowment and an alumni network to help support our CDM. The kickoff event for this endowment is a concert, “Rock the Endowment” planned for October 22, at Newport Dunes evening and an all open house school event during the day. The venue and bands are booked. It’s a great line-up: • Flashback Heart Attack • SIDE DEAL (**New Band made up of artists from TRAIN & SUGAR RAY) • ENGLISH BEAT HOW CAN YOU HELP ? We are asking you help by becoming a Ticket Buyer, Donor or Sponsor of this event & the endowment. PLEASE view the event at https://cdmfoundation.org o Additionally, Sponsor/Donors will be recognized on a beautiful art mural being created on the giant gym wall on campus facing the parking lot. (Rendering in brochure, any donation to this event will be paired with prior donations for Neptune mural status) WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS? Whether you’re running your kids through CDMHS or not, the high school is a part of our community and for the alumni a great past experience. As a public school, CDM has critical needs not being met by state funding alone. There are dozens of projects, contributions, and capital improvements, that the Foundation executes each year that would be supported by the endowment. Mostly centered around student need and what California public school system can’t or won’t afford. There are two (2) key elements the endowment will focus on that should be near/dear to any parent or community leader: 1. MENTAL WELLNESS LIASON FOR STUDENTS: 2. COLLEGE & CAREER COUNSELLING: Your individual support and/or any groups aggregate support will be permanently acknowledged on the campus Neptune Wall in addition to your own personal recognition!
