On Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. there will be a ceremony to name a street in National City after Byron Lindsay. Byron was a member of the class of 1977 who was headed for a very promising boxing career. He was killed at 20 years old in an airplane crash in Poland. At the time, he was traveling with the U.S. amateur boxing team and was considered as one of the best featherweight prospects in the country. All are invited.
