Mark Alan Ruffalo (born November 22, 1967) is an actor, director, and film producer. He graduated from First Colonial High School, in Virginia Beach, VA, in 1986, where he participated in wrestling. Ruffalo is perhaps best known for his portrayal of David Banner/the Hulk in The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, he has had numerous notable performances in other projects over the years, including The Kids Are All Right, The Normal Heart, Foxcatcher, and Spotlight. In 2009, Ruffalo directed his first film, Sympathy for Delicious, which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
