Warren Edward Buffett (born August 30, 1930) is a businessman & investor. He graduated with the class of 1947 from Wilson High School in Washington, District of Columbia. In high school, Buffett played basketball and golf. He was also in the W. Club and on the debate team. In high school, he saw a future as a stock broker. Buffett is best known as one of the most successful investors in the world. He became a millionaire in 1962 and continued building his wealth with various successful investments becoming a billionaire in 1990. In two separate years, he has been ranked among the top three wealthiest people in the world. He is also a noted philanthropist, pledging 83% of his fortune to charitable organizations.
