Germantown High June 1964 60th reunion picnic June 2, 2024Time 11 AM (or whenever) till 6pm.I plan on being there early to set up. Blue Bell Park (Part of Fairmount Park)Rain/ Shine (it’s north of Walnut Lane&Henry Ave) Parking at the site.There is a pavilion with 3 picnic tables & some outside. a public bathroom at the pavilion open to the public.It is rustic.No water or electric at the pavilion.The pavilion cost is $140.00 probably about $5.00/person cash that day No smoking or alcohol anywhere in the park.They also don’t allow a DJ unfortunately but if we have cellphones, there is I heart 50’s radio with good rock & roll if we keep the sound down, we can have some fun.This is a “bring your own food & liquid” event,several steak shops (Dalissandros, Chubbys & Fiesta Pizza) places 2 blocks away, a supermarket nearby.There is the possibility of ordering pizzas,Fiesta Pizza on Henry 1 block west of Walnut Lane accepts credit cards & will deliver for a fee if we want to go that route we can decide in advance or when we all get together at the pavilion. Dalissandro’s has the best cheesesteaks, but they are cash only.Everyone living local, please bring your own chairs & if possible,some extras if you have them, along with coolers & ice etc. Also, if you have a card table etc to bring.You may want blankets on the ground if the weather is nice, dress for a picnic please. Everyone wanting to bring snacks for the group –chips, dip, pretzels, cookies, paper plates, cups, cases of sodas or iced tea, napkins etc. I will have bowls,plastic table covers,trash bags & some things with me.please let me know – I’ll track a list & let people know if there are too many of any one item.I have over 30 people confirmed rsvp & more than 12 who had confirmed on Ellen’s list but not mine so I don’t know if they are still coming.Ellen’s reunion page, look at the main box,look to the right of the red RSVP& you see a grey arrow pointing right.click on that &go to the revised invite.
