Michael Rubens Bloomberg (born February 14, 1942) is a politician and businessman. He graduated with the class of 1960 from Medford High School in Medford, Massachusetts. In high school, Bloomberg was on the in the science club, technical club, and debating club, and was also the President of the slide rule club. According to his class dictionary, he was the definition of argumentative. Bloomberg is best known as the three term Mayor of the city of New York. He is also a successful businessman, being ranked as the 13th richest person in the world in 2012. He has also done philanthropic work to provide food, business opportunity, and environmental benefits to the community. In 2014 he was named an honorary knight by Queen Elizabeth for his work.
