Robert Hepler “Rob” Lowe (born March 17, 1964) is an actor. He graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1982, after he had already been acting for several years. He gained widespread fame in 1983 after co-starring in the film The Outsiders and soon became known as one of the members of the “Brat Pack.” Roles in St. Elmo’s Fire and About Last Night… soon followed. Lowe’s career had a resurgence in the 1990s when he had smaller roles in Wayne’s World, Tommy Boy, and Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. Among many other projects, Lowe co-starred in the acclaimed drama The West Wing and the comedies 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation. He was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2015.
