Hi everyone! Hope you are doing well and enjoying summer! It’s probably been about a month since you’ve received your reunion invitation. And just in case it’s sitting at the top of your stack “to do later”, it’s gonna be a really great weekend! Why am I so sure? It’s because I’m in St. Louis this week (from Minneapolis) and have spent really fun times with some of our classmates I haven’t seen in ages – Mary Wathen Lasater (10 years), Steve Lasater (50 years!) and Deni Katz Bouillon (5 years). Meaningful, warm conversations have reconfirmed that catching up on 50 years is just fascinating! Many of you have already signed up for the weekend. Thank you! For others, work conflicts, health and other circumstances are making it difficult to attend, and it’s been hard ☹ to hear you can’t make it. But we sure hope the rest of you will be there! We’ll be gathering Friday night, October 8th at The Stackhouse (intersection of Woodsmill and Olive) and classmates from ‘70 and ‘72 are welcome. On Saturday, October 9th you can tour Parkway Central (11am) and a special evening is planned at the Doubletree in Chesterfield -- with a DJ, great music, a whole lot of food (GF and vegetarian options too) and a chance to hang out with friends you knew and others you didn’t, in a way that only the passing of 50 years makes possible. Yesterday Deni, Mary and I got together in person for the first time since we started talking about this reunion many months ago. We laughed, got caught up and thought about how awesome it is to have a chance to reconnect after our challenging 2020.
